Pet Evidence PROJECT

About Pet Evidence Project

Better Decisions. Better Lives for Pets.

We make veterinary science understandable, accessible, and useful so pet owners can make informed decisions with confidence—not from marketing pressure.

Why We Created Pet Evidence Project

Pet owners spend billions each year on food, supplements, and healthcare products, all making claims about their pets' wellbeing.

Some of those claims are supported by strong scientific evidence. Others are supported by very little evidence, even when the marketing sounds equally confident.

Pet owners deserve a place where veterinary science is evaluated objectively and presented clearly. That's why we created Pet Evidence Project.

Our Principles

The commitments that guide how we evaluate evidence and communicate what it means.

Evidence First

Our recommendations start with published scientific literature—not opinions, trends, or marketing.

Independent

Our goal is to inform, not to sell. Commercial influence does not determine our conclusions.

Transparent

We share our methods, cite the research, and explain the strength and limitations of the evidence.

Always Learning

We revisit our conclusions as new veterinary evidence emerges.

Who We Serve

Clear veterinary evidence should be useful to everyone caring for pets.

  • Dog owners
  • Cat owners
  • Pet lovers
